Mobile app design and development

Make the thing people need easier to do on their phone.

We help you shape the idea, design the experience and build the app. The first version focuses on the job people came to do, with a clear plan for what comes next.

Who it is for

Founders launching a product, companies extending an existing service to mobile, and teams replacing a difficult day-to-day task with a focused app.

What we do

How the work moves

Five steps you can follow.

Each step ends with something you can review. Read how we work.

  1. 01

    Understand

Define the user, the job and the reason an app is the right answer.

  2. 02

    Shape

Map the flows, prototype the core journey and review it together.

  3. 03

    Build

Design the screens and develop for the agreed platforms.

  4. 04

    Check

Test the important journeys on real devices, including failures.

  5. 05

    Release

Prepare the store materials, submit and hand over the accounts.

Decisions we make early

  • Does this need a downloadable app, or would a mobile website do the job?
  • Which platform comes first?
  • Does it need to work without a connection?
  • What data is saved, and who can access it?
  • What happens if a payment, upload or notification fails?

Options to scope separately

  • Additional platforms
  • Offline synchronisation
  • Device integrations
  • Subscription billing
  • Multilingual releases
  • Complex media processing
  • An admin portal
  • Migration from an existing app
  • Advanced analytics and post-launch experiments

Scope boundaries

Store accounts belong to the client or product owner. Submission support is not a promise that a platform will approve a release. Fees, platform policies, privacy disclosures, supported devices and maintenance responsibilities are confirmed during planning. Features involving regulated decisions need appropriate specialist input; we do not claim medical or regulatory compliance by default.

Questions

Specific to mobile apps.

Do we need both iOS and Android at launch?
Not always. We help you choose based on your users and the first version's purpose. Both platforms can be scoped when the case supports it.
Can you work with an existing backend?
We can assess the system and its documentation, then agree the integration work and access required.
What happens after launch?
We agree the initial support period and can scope updates, maintenance and new features separately.

What would you like your business to do better?

Tell us what you are building, what is getting in the way or what needs to change. A rough idea is enough to start the conversation.

We’ll review your message and help clarify the next step.
